Godflesh - A World Lit Only By Fire (2014)

Godflesh's heaving, clanking death disco seems ever more apposite the farther we lurch into post-anthroposcenity neo-feudal corporatism. I tend to like my Godflesh streaked with beauty, however monastic and sere, but A World Lit Only By Fire offers nothing but the remnants of a dead civilization's bones to pick through. Weirdly enough, this time around I am really feeling the funk in the riffs. Everything is Crushed. Everything is Ruined. Let's Dance For Whatever Time We Have Left. <3 <3 <3 nathaxn
