these are the only dresses i have yet acquired that i am entirely happy with but i think i may have gotten them each in a size too large. i want to dress like Violet from F13V and these reminded me of that mid-eighties goth/psych/industrial nexus? i don't have a closet or a wardrobe or a full-length mirror or i would have a photo of me wearing these. the last dress i bought i didn't like at all but these are pretty cool. <3

I feel like the 'dress like Violet from f13 V is the only long-term thing i have accomplished in the past year other than 'get a job', 'get a car' and 'get a place' with chronic brain injury. i am ridiculously proud of my little big-box-derived wardrobe. i am being pretty conservative, with just neutrals that are relatively 'unisex' (i always think of unicorns procreating??? which is rad but i don't otherwise like that word). i feel like the dumbest trans person in the world. i didn't know how to put my hair into a bun until 44 years old by which time i have lost most of that hair. i have always been a slow learner. it took me until 18 to really know how to tie my own shoes. developmental disabilities are a trip!

I very often feel like that, like I'm trying to catch up to everyone or arriving late to a party. And it often takes me literally days, clearly, to respond to even minimal social interactions.
