There are days, more than a few, when having Husker Du cassettes kept me alive, kept me from hurting myself, allowed me to empty all that was within myself. Husker Du was there for me. They cared about me, even though they didn't know me at all, and never would. It is not hyperbole to say that metal and hardcore saved my life and continue to save my life on a daily basis.
