Abhorrence - Abhorrence (EP, 1990)

Abhorrence are foundational Finnish Death Metal, releasing only an EP and a demo before breaking up, with members going on to form Amorphis and Impaled Nazarene. This is a crushingly heavy, moldy, rotting, stinking heave of death and it is absolutely worth a listen if you have not heard it, and also if you have. 'Pestilential Mists' and/or 'Caught In A Vortex' are my favorite tracks here, sickly and woozy, delirious with clammy fevers. Because the archival footage that I found from 1990 was awesome to look at but sadly nearly inaudible, here is the reunited (without original drummer) Abhorrence live in 2013. They sound pretty good!
